Task for StudioVox:
We searched and edited hundreds of sound effects which were needed to create the soundtrack of this clip. We also directed and recorded the actors and commentators. We mixed the end result and made this Internet compression.
Comment:
This animation brings to life the story of the creation of the Red Cross, Red Crescent Movement and its history to date. The comic strip was created by the world renowned artist Jean Giraud, a.k.a Moebius. More on http://www.icrc.org/web/eng/siteeng0.nsf/htmlall/f00993?opendocument

The aim of this clip is to show Gilbert Albert's concept of rings with interchangeable stones. By playing the video in GA boutiques, no further explanation is needed.
Comment:
Setting these stones in intergalactic space was the most obvious idea. But sometimes obvious is also efficient.

Project:
Real time Presentation to Video conversion
Task for StudioVox:
With MediaGun,(www.exponentsoftware.com) a playlist containing DVD Video, PowerPoint, PDF, mp3 and some jpg, pict and bmp images is assembled into a seamless sequence. Then, with 40$ SnagIt (www.techsmith.com), it is converted to video IN REAL TIME. The whole operation takes 5 minutes, and doesn't require a degree in IT studies.
Comment:
A seamless sequence integrating up to 40 file extensions is transformed into video in a few clicks, without editing or conversion of the source material. Try beating this.

Shooting and compression of live Event / Conference
Task for StudioVox:
Our partner, Ubik Prod, is specialised in the filming and live editing of events. Once the event is over, StudioVox starts compressing Ubik's final output immediately, so that your finished product is uploaded on your inter/intra/extranet within 3-4 hours.
Comment:
Because these videos are meant to be viewed in real time using a 512 Mbits/s connection speed, a slight compromise on quality had to be accepted. As a comparaison, these videos are 2 to 3 times lighter than the other mpeg-1 movies on this page!

Camel 16:9 commercial
Project:
Redesigning a widescreen video for a 4:3 ratio screen
Task for StudioVox:
Graphic concept, video compression
Comment:
If a movie is to be used both in cinemas and on TV networks (or computer screens), it should in principle be shot both in widescreen and in 4:3 size ratios respectively.
But sometimes this cannot be, as it would have a huge impact on the budget.
When viewed on a 4:3 screen, a widescreen movie always results in a compromise.
- The "letterbox" solution displays a horizontal black bar above and below the image. This wasted space can occupy up to 50% of the total space!
- The "full frame" option discards the left and right sections of the movie, and creates a 4:3 image with the remainder. The loss of information may totally jeopardise the understanding of the product!
The example shown here preserves the entirety of the original movie AND makes use of the extra space (the black bars), instead of wasting it.
We can offer you hundreds of ways to "dress up" the available portion of the movie frame. You will maximise the impact of your commercials and make full use of costly advertising space.

More than 40 years after their original invention of the rotary engine in 1961, the Mazda engineers are back on the front stage with a paroxystical version of this technique. After the mythical RX-6 and the impatient RX-7, here is the pure emotion: the RX-8 by Mazda.
